23 September 2000 / Skeet - silver medal for our shooter !!!
Strong nerves and good pair of sights had Petr MÁLEK (38) at the Shooting Centre during the Games. He decided to finish his shooting carrier before the previous Games in Atlanta (USA) where he was as a trainer. Fortunately Mr. Jan Hula (his current trainer) persuaded him to come back and try to qualify to the Games in Sydney. Good decision !!! Our representative missed only two orange targets during two-days skeet competition and he won silver medal for the Czech Republic. CONGRATULATION !!!
17 September 2000 / Participation of Czech representative in the trap final
Our representative, David KOSTELECKÝ (25), was very close to his big success. In men´s shooting trap qualification he achieved 3rd place (score 116.0) and took place in the final. Unfortunately in the final he missed target number eight and nine - both were flying on the left side. Later he missed also target number twenty (again left side) and hope for medal was gone. David Kostelecký achieved sixth place (score 138.0) which is also very good referring to his young age. Congratulation.
15 September 2000 / The Czech National Team will enter the Olympic Games
The Czech National Team will enter the Olympic Competition in the shotgun shooting. All members of the Czech National Team use Sellier & Bellot shotgun ammunition. We hope that all of them will achieve success !!! The competitors are as follows:
